Bauer Pukekohe Express

We have two exciting event options for you, the Pukekohe 100k or 50k, both starting and finishing in Pukekohe. Whichever one you choose you can be assured of a great day out!
100k Express
The course is two laps of a 50km circuit which takes you out of Pukekohe on SH 22 for 7km before turning left into Glenbrook Road. You then ride out toward the historic town of Waiuku before turning left and beginning your return journey to Pukekohe through some fantastic undulating countryside. The circuit course means no support vehicles are required .Clean fresh country air for all riders. The only way to go!
Pulse 50km
The course is one lap of the same circuit riden by the 100km competitors.
From Pukekohe you journey out to the historic town of Waiuku before beginning your return journey with an exciting street finish in central Pukekohe.
Registration Venue
Registration will be at the Pukekohe Town Hall, Corner Massey Avenue and Edinburgh Street, Pukekohe.

Start
Bauer 100km
The Bauer Pukekohe 100k Express starts at 10.00am outside the Pukekohe Town Hall.
All riders must be on the start line at 9.50am
For safety reasons the following format will be in place at the start. Riders will be requested to position themselves in their correct estimated finish time category on the start line. (There will be signs to indicate the groupings). This is essential for the safety of riders, as cyclists will ride in a pack of similar ability and therefore minimize the need to pass others. An example of the start line set up, is as follows,
- All tandems
- All riders less than 2hours 30mins
- Riders 2hours 30mins - 2hours 45mins
- Riders 2hours 45mins - 3hours
- etc
Pulse 50km
The Pulse 50km ride starts at 12.00noon outside the Pukekohe Town Hall.
All riders must be on the start line at 11.50am
For safety reasons riders will be requested to position themselves in their correct estimated finish time category on the start line. (There will be signs to indicate the groupings). This is essential for the safety of riders as cyclists will then ride in a pack of similar ability. An example of the start line setup is as follows,
- All tandems
- All riders less than 1hour 30mins
- Riders 1 hour 30 minutes - 2 hours
- Riders over 3 hours

Timing
All competitors will receive a timing transponder at registration and your time will be calculated from when you cross the start line so that no rider is
disadvantaged. The first three placing's of each grade will be by gun time.
Finish
Both events finish on Edingburgh Street, outside the Pukekohe Town Hall. An exciting street finish and festive atmosphere awaits riders.
Prizegiving
Prizegiving for both events will take place inside the Pukekohe Town Hall at 3.00pm. You must be present to be eligible for spot prizes. Award winners must be present at prize-giving to be eligible to receive their prize.
No prizes or trophies will be sent out or passed onto friends.
Spot Prizes / Giveaways
There are over $70,000 worth of spot prizes and giveaways. The major spot prizes include a Bauer road bike valued at $3000, a Bauer road bike valued at $2200, an Escapade Q-Kayak, Saeco coffee machines and 5 Sirius Tacx home trainers. There are also 400 minor spot prizes which competitors can win at either registration.
Support Crews
There will be available on course first aid teams, mechanics, event referees, a sag wagon plus other event personnel for your assistance to make this an enjoyable and memorable ride!
Drink/Aid Stations
Drink/Aid stations and WC facilities are located at the Start & Finish and at the 24km, 50km, 74km marks.
